These are too easy for a recipe…but they were such a hit so here we are. We may never skip griddled buns again! Fancy dogs are a good way to stretch summer a tiny bit longer – and they work well inside too should fall weather be questionable.

Ranch Dogs
Ingredients: (serves 4)
4 hot dogs
4 buns
~4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
ranch dressing

Directions:
Grill or griddle the hot dogs. (We always like them to be SlotDogs!)
While the dogs cook, spread the butter onto the sides of the buns and shake on ranch seasoning. Cook over medium low heat until golden.
Sprinkle cheese into the buns, add on the hot dog, sprinkle with ranch again, and add remaining cheese. Finally, top with ranch dressing.

The kids asked where these buns have been our whole lives. The buttered buns with ranch on them adds a whole dimension.
