French Toast Latte

Maple and cinnamon make this coffee a true treat. This is a weekend coffee…there’s nothing Tuesday about this. Mine was more of a cafe au lait (coffee + steamed milk), but if you have espresso, go for it as a latte (espresso + steamed milk)!

French Toast Latte
Ingredients:
(serves 2)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon butter extract (or almond)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
1 cup coffee or 1 shot espresso
3/4 cup milk (whole milk or half & half are more foamy)

Directions:
Add syrup, brown sugar, extracts, and cinnamon sugar to a jar and shake well (or blend with a hand frother).

Pour the coffee mixture into a mug.
Froth the milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and pour or spoon on top.

Enjoy!

This was sweet and the maple and cinnamon really sell the french toast vibes. I even rimmed the glass with brown sugar because we’re nothing but fancy over here.

Our newest sous chef was happy to oversee and definitely thought she deserved a treat too.
